Bio

Amy "Aviv" Gijsbers van Wijk (they/them/theirs) is the clinical operations specialist at Self-Made Psychology. They seek to make everyone's experience at Self-Made Psychology smooth, pleasant, and positive. As the clinical operations supervisor, they provide Self-Made Psychology's billing and insurance support, record keeping, HR needs, scheduling, and client intake/onboarding.

Previously, they worked in administration at Equal Justice USA, where they helped create operations practices and manuals. Additionally, Aviv spent several years working in theatre administration, marketing, and copywriting, where they gained an expertise in project management and implementing organizational systems.

Aviv has also worked with kids, teens, and young adults as a writing instructor/teaching artist, specializing in helping young people with anxiety, learning differences, neurodivergence, and disabilities.

They are currently earning their Master's degree in Social Work at Hunter College's Silberman School of Social Work. They hold an MFA in dramatic writing from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BA in writing and business/arts administration from the Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College.
