Gender Affirming Care

At Self Made Psychology, we offer evaluations to support access to gender-affirming medical care, including hormones, surgeries, and puberty blockers.

The goal of the evaluation is not to gatekeep but to help you access the care you need in a way that aligns with current medical guidelines and insurance requirements.

Our approach is respectful, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your own gender.

The session is usually about 60–75 minutes and focuses on understanding your gender journey, goals for medical care, current supports, and any concerns you may have. For youth, we also meet with caregivers as part of the process.

You'll have the opportunity to review the letter before it’s finalized. We can send it directly to your provider, give it to you to share, or both—whichever you prefer.

Our evaluations are conducted from a place of affirmation, not interrogation.

We understand that people express and experience gender in many different ways, and we are here to support you in moving forward on your terms.

Autism & ADHD

Autism & ADHD

Our evaluation process is neurodiversity-affirming, collaborative, and designed to provide meaningful insight—not just a diagnosis.

We recognize that many people, especially those who are queer, trans, or marginalized, have had their experiences misunderstood or overlooked in traditional mental health settings.

Our assessments aim to offer clarity, validation, and practical guidance for moving forward.

At Self Made Psychology, we offer comprehensive psychological assessments for Autism and ADHD across the lifespan.
